How to register for the self-service password reset

Go to Microsoft Online Password Reset and click the blue text 'Register for self-service password reset'

This will direct you to a new page; scroll down and select the "Security Info" button.

Sign in and then, click Add sign-in method and select Microsoft Authenticator.

Click next until a QR code shows up on screen. You'll then want to open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone -> Click the + in the top right -> Add Work or School Account -> Scan the QR code.

Once you've scanned the QR code, click Next and enter the number shown on the screen within the Authenticator app. 

You've now successfully registered for the self-reset. Wait up to 5 minutes for the system to sync and revisit the password change website (Microsoft Online Password Reset). The system should now let you change your password.
